I have either the ability or know how to provide workshops or just dissemination of information from knowledgeable/professional sources to our neighborhood on a variety of subjects:

energy efficiency for homes and cars
weatherizing our homes
planting & sharing vegetables & starts
how to shop to maximize our dollars
maximizing recycling efforts
how to deal with/report: suspected drug houses ~ gang activity ~ graffiti ~ cars on our streets that are not running or have expired tags or are wrecked ~ bothersome neighbors ~ unsightly yards with trash / garbage / overgrowth / vehicles / etc.
transportation options
maximizing services offered by the city, local non-profits, churches, neighborhoods, social agencies, etc.
afterschool / summer activities for our youth
social services for low-income, disabled, and seniors
bartering to exchange services, talents, needs and abilities
how to begin a block watch on your street
where to find freebies
supporting our neighbors and their businesses
computer/internet support
and probably more…….!
