SolTerra Systems is making a proposal for the vacant lot at 6800 NE Durham Ave, where they are planning to build a new mixed-use, innovative LEED certified building. The ground floor will host 2100 SF of commercial space, a large exterior public courtyard space, and two live-work apartments while the upper floors will be residential apartments. The building will feature 4,000 SF ecoroof, over 1,00 SF of living wall, a 4,000 gallon rainwater cistern, as well as solar photovoltaic awnings at the ground floor level.
SolTerra Systems is proposing to enhance the Woodlawn Neighborhood economically with the addition of commercial space at the heart of the neighborhood whiles also providing affordable housing option. As well as creating a landmark in environmental design and sustainability.
