Calling all Woodlawn Neighborhood Association board members: WNA is holding a special meeting this Saturday to review grant applications.

The grants are for the following things:

1) To help boost membership by providing food, childcare and outreach for the association.

2.) To help with the Easter egg hunt, a neighborhood yard sale and National Night Out.

3.) To fund cooking classes in the community garden.

The meeting is at Good Neighbor Pizza, 800 N.E. Dekum St., at 4 p.m.

We need as many board members as possible to attend. The meeting should only take a half hour and could go along ways towards making our association and neighborhood stronger.

Concerned neighbors and community organizations wishing to oppose a liquor license renewal north of Burnside should advise the Office of Neighborhood Involvement as soon as possible. Opposition is considered by the City before a recommendation to renew is made to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC). If neighbors have concerns but do not wish to formally oppose the license renewal, this is an excellent opportunity to engage in problem solving to address concerns informally.

Submittals must be received by November 15.

Please contact Theresa Marchetti, City of Portland Liquor License Specialist, at 503-823-9092 or theresa.marchetti@portlandoregon.gov.
