Nancy Flynn grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania coal country, spent two decades in Ithaca, New York, then moved to thirteen acres in Coast Range foothills outside of Corvallis in 1998. Since 2007, she has lived near Alberta Park on the Woodlawn side of the street that marks our neighborhood’s border with Concordia. In a past life, she was a senior administrator at Cornell University. Now she grows dahlias, writes poetry, reads avidly, and helps her husband, John Laurence, manage the Woodlawn Community Garden where they have quite the productive urban farm.
