The Woodlawn Neighborhood Plan

On July 28, 1993, a formal Woodlawn Neighborhood Plan was adopted. This grew out of a land use study area of the Albina Community Plan. Each of the thirteen neighborhoods within this study participated in the district planning process by developing a neighborhood plan. The plans were intended to address the issues and problems that resident felt were the most pressing and important. The plans also reflected issues that a neighborhood was willing to commit time and energy to solve.

The Woodlawn Neighborhood Plan began with a planning workshop in April 1990. Afterwards, a neighborhood planning committee was formed to refine the workshop results and develop the goals, objectives, and actions contained in the final Woodlawn Neighborhood Plan. Lots more interesting information—continuing to be relevant today!—can be found in the plan. You can view and/or download a PDF of the plan here: Woodlawn Neighborhood Plan.
