The Woodlawn Neighborhood Farmers Market is a volunteer-run market, and we depend on the efforts of our neighbors and friends, who help to make this market a reality. If you are interested in being a part of our amazing team, please email us at woodlawnfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
The Woodlawn Farmers Market (WFM) is a project of the Woodlawn Neighborhood Association which is a registered 501(c)3. The market was started in 2015 by volunteers who saw an opportunity to help low-income residents and farmers start market businesses, to build community between residents and local farmers, and to ensure equitable access to fresh, local food and environmental education. In the first two years of WFM’s existence, we have connected over 18,000 people with 15 different local and sustainable farms. Our reach and impact have grown in bounds since then. Our market provides free educational workshops on sustainability topics, offers a $5-10 SNAP Match encouraging low income community members to buy direct from farmers, and creates economic opportunities by providing a free community booth each market for any member of the community to utilize. In 2025, thanks to a grant from NAYA, we will be able to offer double SNAP Match for fresh produce purchases.
