The Woodlawn Elementary  PTA’s Jazz Night 2024 was held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Village Ballroom here in the heart of the Wodlawn neighborhood. The Woodlawn Neighborhood Association (WNA) was one of its sponsors. A special feature about the event will be airing on KGW’s Pacific Storyland segment in the near future.

From the organizers:

“The energy and sense of connection were palpable throughout the event and our musicians and guest speakers were stellar! Calvin Walker from Albina Music Trust shared this of the evening ‘I have to tell you that [Jazz Night] was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. It’s been way too long since I was in a room of folks who have that much love and joy for their community. It was so inspiring!!! I was glowing the next day!!!’ Mr. Walker’s sentiments are felt by all of us and our shared commitment to providing a vibrant and inclusive environment for our community members.”
