Nancy Flynn is the Woodlawn Neighborhood Association Secretary for 2024-2015. Since 2007, she has lived near Alberta Park on the Woodlawn side of the street that marks our neighborhood’s border with Concordia. In a past life, she was a senior administrator at Cornell University. Now she grows dahlias, writes poetry, reads avidly, and helps her husband, John Laurence, manage the Woodlawn Community Garden. In summer 2021, as a pandemic project, she and friends worked with artist and Woodlawn resident Jenny Joyce to paint a mural on the back of her garage that faces the alley—behold Sentinels.
