Shirley Minor was raised in the Woodlawn neighborhood, moved to Eugene to attend college, and moved back years later to the same area. She was asked by a neighbor to start attending Woodlawn Neighborhood Association meetings. Along with other volunteer activities, she is on both the WNA as a Member-at-Large & the NECN Board as a Woodlawn representative. She has been a past member of the Woodlawn School PTA and re-started the school site council along with negotiating the Sun School contract. She also has a city garden plot and participates in the Woodlawn Community Garden activities. As if that isn’t enough, she is involved as a volunteer with most of the WNA-sponsored events throughout the year.
